These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and WiseOwlBuys LLC ("WiseOwlBuys," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of SLICK, including the SLICK mobile applications (iOS and Android) and any associated website used for account or subscription management (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, tapping "Free to Start," or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, available at https://slick.wiseowlbuys.com/slick-privacy-policy.html. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of another person or entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that person or entity to these Terms.
You must be at least 17 years old to use SLICK, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.
Separately and without exception: you must not upload, describe, or submit information about any third party who is under 18, regardless of your own age or the third party's relationship to you. See Section 5.
SLICK is a chat and messaging assistant. It helps you draft, refine, and organize your own written communication — commonly by turning a screenshot or pasted conversation into suggested replies, openers, or a summary you can reference before your next conversation with someone.
SLICK is not a dating platform. It does not host profiles, match users with each other, or facilitate introductions between strangers. It works with conversations and contacts you already have, from whatever platform you are messaging on.
SLICK is not a background-check, safety-verification, or identity-check service, and does not perform, arrange, or imply that it has performed any criminal-record search, court-record search, registry search, property record search, identity verification, or facial recognition. Any feature that prepares a summary before you meet someone in person (currently called "Prep," formerly "Pre-Date") works exclusively from content you affirmatively upload — your own chat screenshots, notes, and profile text — and organizes what you already have. It does not look anyone up, does not query any external record source about a person, and its output is not a safety determination, a risk score, a verdict, or a statement that any individual is or is not safe to meet. You are solely responsible for exercising your own judgment, and for taking your own precautions, when meeting anyone in person.
The Service uses generative AI to produce suggested text and summaries. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, may misread context, and is provided as a drafting aid, not a statement of fact about you, the person you are messaging, or anyone else. See Section 10 (Disclaimers).
You may use SLICK anonymously at first. Certain features and the preservation of your data across devices require linking an account (for example, via Google or Apple sign-in). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
"User Content" means any screenshot, text, image, or other material you upload or paste into the Service, including content that describes, depicts, or was written by someone other than you.
By submitting User Content, you represent that:
How we collect, use, retain, and (where applicable) delete User Content and other personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, not restated here: https://slick.wiseowlbuys.com/slick-privacy-policy.html. If anything in this section conflicts with the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy controls on data-handling questions.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We may investigate and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination under Section 9, against anyone who violates this section.
Plans. SLICK offers a free tier with limited daily usage (currently a default of a small number of free replies per day; the exact number is set by server-side configuration and shown in the app) and paid subscription tiers — currently Starter, Plus, and Unlimited — that unlock higher usage limits and additional features such as Spotlight slots.
Billing. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis at the price shown at the time of purchase, through whichever payment channel you use:
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless canceled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time:
Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund the current billing period.
Refunds. Except where required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial subscription periods, unused allowances, or unused Spotlight slots. Purchases made through the App Store or Play Store are subject to those platforms' own refund policies and processes, which we do not control and cannot override.
Price changes. We may change subscription pricing prospectively. If a price increases, we will provide notice before the new price takes effect on your next renewal, consistent with the requirements of the platform you purchased through.
Free tier and usage caps. Free-tier usage limits (daily reply allowance, upload caps, etc.) are configured server-side and may change. Paid-tier allowances (Spotlight counts, Prep/Pre-Date quotas, upload caps) are set by your specific plan and displayed in the app; they are not fixed numbers in this document because they are managed centrally so that what you are shown and what you are charged for always match.

Your use of these third parties' services in connection with SLICK may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account through in-app settings or by contacting us. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Play Store subscription — cancel through the applicable store as well.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms (including Section 6), created risk or legal exposure for us or another user, or if required to do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 10, 11, and 6 as to conduct that already occurred) survive.
THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ALL AI-GENERATED SUGGESTIONS, REPLIES, AND SUMMARIES, IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that: the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; AI-generated content will be accurate, appropriate, or effective; using the Service will lead to any particular outcome in your relationships or communications; or any summary produced by the Service is complete or reliable for any purpose, including personal safety decisions. You are solely responsible for your own communications, relationships, and in-person meetings, and for independently verifying anything material to your safety before acting on it.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WISEOWLBUYS LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WiseOwlBuys LLC from any claim, demand, loss, or damages, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
These Terms, and any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service, are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
You and WiseOwlBuys LLC agree that any such dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware, and each party consents to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection provision of the law of the country or state in which you reside, where such provisions apply and cannot be varied by agreement.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example, an in-app notice or updated "Last Updated" date) before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you downloaded the Service from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and WiseOwlBuys LLC only, not Apple, and Apple has no responsibility for the Service or its content. Your use of the Service through iOS is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
